So far, my experience with Twitter has been great. The accounts that I follow provide great education updates as well as helpful classroom tips. I especially like the account @educationnation as it posts cool videos and facts on a daily basis. The benefits of Twitter include communication with classmates, access to worldwide information about education, and the ability to see retweets so you can view accounts you otherwise wouldn't have. One issue I experienced is that I was not following enough people so I didn't have a lot of updates. Therefore, I followed more users which solved my problem.
The Web Page Design assignment was fun. I thought it was helpful to create this because we will definitely have to do this in the future as a teacher. Also, I saw on actual teacher websites that they had to do this so it is a relevant skill. I enjoyed adding fun pictures and fonts too. However, the website was somewhat hard to use. I was constantly accidently clicking on things and moving them or deleting them. Also, the images were nearly impossible to put on the page. Next time, I would probably research a different website to create it on because this website was not helpful in my opinion. I would also make it more colorful and maybe add animations.
Diigo is a very helpful and convenient website. In my classroom, I could see myself using it in several ways. While working with students, I could easily view their annotations on articles and see their questions and comments from home. I can then prepare the night before and come to class the next day with the answers in mind which would be more helpful to my students. With team members, I could easily share articles, worksheets, videos, or any other resource. Also, I believe faculty members should work together to make the best educational environment possible. In my individual professional efforts, I could use Diigo to save my resources year to year. By simply searching a tag like fractions or math, I could easily access a fractions worksheet or lesson. This way, I won't lose papers and can keep all my resources in one area.
